Sometimes you just see something you HAVE TO HAVE!
I ventured into this little boutique Vestique over the weekend and literally passed out and died when I saw this Desert Queen Cardigan. JUST AMAZE! The girls that work in the store are the absolute sweetest, the prices are fantastic, the styles are so trendy and the girl that was there on the night I went in... stayed open late for me so I could try on clothes! Let's just say I wasn't leaving without this cardigan and I initially just came in to look around << NOTE: when I just go in to "look around" - I usually leave my purse in the car because that keeps me from buying things I don't actually need> but I was stopped in my tracks by this beauty! PLUS it was on sale FOR $22!!!
Am I dreaming? = Um no!

So I ran to my car and bought it! When I came home with it I was dying to tell everyone on instagram about this cardigan but had to wait til my post was up!! So now its up and I hope you love it as much as I do. The pink and orange colors on the grey are just stunning. I have had non-stop compliments every time I wear it!!

P.S. It's snowing again today -- SUPER COLD OUT!
Which got me thinking can I wear this cardigan in the summer?
Or do you think this is just a winter cardigan??

Well I prayed for snow and I got it, but I didn't know it would come with -5 degree temps! It's been a cold few days here in Raleigh but I have been rocking my spring colors in a winter style. I think its just the Florida raised girl trapped inside of me dying to get out. I always say just because the season says its cold doesn't mean you can't rock spring colors. I even brought out some of my fav summer turquoise accessories to spice it up.

Are you ready for spring? Um ya. Me too! ha. xo

Winter Pop: Herringbone & Turquoise

The Osiris Bib Necklace c/o Jewelry Storm // boots : <target style sold out> similar here // pants: similar here and here // watch: Michael Kors // headband: Francesca's - similar here // vest: JCREW sold out -- similar here // black turtleneck: Old Navy // bag: Tory Burch

This winter weather really came in with a bang last night in Raleigh. When I say bang I mean it snowed for like 10 minutes and then a car coming down a hill behind me slid right into the back of my car while I was parked at a red light. Yup = Not cool. The good news is no one was hurt and my car didn't have very much damage at all, but the other car was pretty messed up. I wished for snow ...but not these dangerous conditions so I am definitely staying off the roads today. It dropped to below freezing temperatures overnight and its pretty much ice everywhere.

Anyway, despite the cold I have been trying to stick to my New Year's resolution of popping color wherever I can. So I brought out my turquoise pants from Rock & Republic to add some color to this all black and grey look. I am completely in love with this Jewelry Storm necklace and I put on my crochet bow knitted winter headband to keep my ears warm. Let me be honest - << this Florida raised girl has worn an "ear warmer headband" like maybe twice in her life -->>  I was excited to pull this beauty out.

We've only had a day of REALLY cold temps so far.. but how has you're winter been? Everyone on Instagram says they would trade with me because their winter storms have been really rough.
Are you ready for winter to end?

Neon Green

spy optics sunglasses c/o spy optics// chicwish neon green sweater // OLD NAVY sold out-- polka dot top > options below//  leopard pumps - sold out similar looks below // Jeans = Jbrand  linked below // Baublebar monogram necklace - linked below // upside down horn necklace OLD >> SIMILAR almost identical AT BAUBLEBAR ONLY $25  // & necklace c/o Clovers and Pearls // Michael Kors Watch > linked below// Ann Taylor Bracelet // Leather cuff > Boston Proper  - SOLD OUT  more options here and here // Tory Burch Gold Logo Bag > linked below // Coach flats OLD > similar style color HERE and HERE

I am absolutely LOVING This sweater from Chicwish!  The sweater was a little short on me so I added an Old Navy polka dot white button down for some layering and a few layered necklaces.  This bright color is part of my "WAR ON WINTER" <<basically I wear bright colors despite the gloomy dark rainy cold days>> and its perfect for the transition into spring. I paired this top with some leopard pumps but any other pop of color works too. I threw my back of the closet Coach flats on for a neon pop at the bottom. SO CUTE.

I need more pops of color on my feet and I am on the hunt for a bad ass COBALT PUMP... so if you know where I can find one.. send the link my way!
Happy ALMOST Friday loves!
XO, Alex

All You Need Is Love

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE. TRULY.
The older I get the more I have realized that love is just one of those things that makes everything else better. I could be having the worst day but when I get home to the one I love it all just melts away. The same thing goes for loving yourself. I remember being alone on Valentines Day but I always took myself out for something nice, or just spent time alone which can be amazing too! Being brave enough to be alone frees you up to invite people into your life because you want them and not because you need them. That is the best lesson I have learned from Valentines Day. SO, Treat yourself today and everyday! You are a unique, sparkling, spectacular soul. Celebrate you!

That's why I love this STARBUCKS LOVE MUG because it just reminds me to have LOVE everyday and it makes me happy. It's sold out online but it is still available in some stores or through REALLY overpriced ebay shops = here and here. My long necklace is H&M sold out//and the short spiked is Forever 21 sold out but other options and all other items similar to what I am wearing are linked in the pics below:

<< More options for my scarf: HERE & HERE >>

I believe in comfortable fashion >> so this is an outfit I have been wearing as often as I can. Cozied up in a long plaid scarf, paired with some fun stripes, and a great double breasted jacket from The Limited. I layer up a lot of my jewelry but when we did this shoot I didn't have a mirror and realized only after that my initial necklace wasn't laying on top of the spiked necklace right LOL. But normally I layer them on top of each other.

Anyway I hope your having a great week. It's been nothing but rainy here so I also mixed this outfit up with some hunter boots. I highly recommend you get a pair if you don't already have them because they make ALL RAINY DAYS exciting. I literally yell out "Is it raining?!?! OMG. I can wear my Hunter Boots today!" haha. Maybe it's silly but it makes me happy.

Happiness is a big result of LOVE. So, whether your with someone else you love or with the YOU that YOU love - make sure to enjoy the day! AND remember to feel that happiness and joy EVERYDAY - not just on Valentines Day!

What do you love most about Valentine's Day?
Hate it or Love it?

XO,
Alex
