Ugh, it has just been one of those weeks where I have TOO much to do but nothing puts me in a good mood like pops of color. That's the great thing about fashion - what you wear can literally change your mood.

And now you can put a little spring in your step with these beautiful floral pants. I am truly just loving everything print city right now and I'm all about comfort. These comfy jersey pants from H&M are not only fabulous but they have pockets and they ARE SO CHEAP!

I am so happy I feel like my Easter/Passover weekend was sooooo accomplished! I cleaned, I ran all my errands, FINISHED my taxes <finally> and somehow managed to still enjoy the fabulously gorgeous weekend weather we had here in Raleigh.
 FINALLY - we got some hot weather so I was able to break out my new maxi dress!

Maxi dresses are the perfect item for spring and a staple that will definitely last you all season. I love that they are casual but can be dressed up or dressed down. This season I have seen tons of heavy prints and boho styles hitting the racks and I love them all. Plus -- Color, florals, COLOR, florals, and MORE COLOR = I am all about it! A great maxi can be flattering for almost any figure because the fit is loose and flowy. But, if you’re more on the petite side like me-- you have to be really careful with these dresses to avoid being swallowed up in the fabric. Sometimes you have to stick to basic, form-fitting styles that accentuate your waist and don’t have too much excess volume. I listed some of my fav maxi dresses that I've seen lately below...

Maxi skirts are one of the most comfortable and flattering items of clothing to wear! I love how versatile they are too! They are a great way to get creative with pieces you already have in your closet as well as fun accessories! I have had this striped H&M shirt for ages and I just popped it underneath my new Target jean jacket to add some pizzazz! Growing up I hated stripes and now I can't get enough of them -- it's amazing how our tastes change. I am loving maxi skirts for spring and the jean jacket is classic, timeless, and goes with everything = just a must have. I found mine at Target on sale for $24.99 and I die for this acid wash look.

There is nothing quite like transitioning into spring and getting excited for warm air by adding loads of color to your outfit. And what better way to do that than with floral prints? The cut out shoulders on this gorge cold shoulder floral top transform an otherwise simple piece into something a little sexier and edgier. The open shoulder adds a flirty look without showing too much. I read that the look was initially introduced in the 90's when Donna Karan debuted her iconic “cold shoulder” dress on former First Lady / Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
