Maxi skirts are one of the most comfortable and flattering items of clothing to wear! I love how versatile they are too! They are a great way to get creative with pieces you already have in your closet as well as fun accessories! I have had this striped H&M shirt for ages and I just popped it underneath my new Target jean jacket to add some pizzazz! Growing up I hated stripes and now I can't get enough of them -- it's amazing how our tastes change. I am loving maxi skirts for spring and the jean jacket is classic, timeless, and goes with everything = just a must have. I found mine at Target on sale for $24.99 and I die for this acid wash look.

There is nothing quite like transitioning into spring and getting excited for warm air by adding loads of color to your outfit. And what better way to do that than with floral prints? The cut out shoulders on this gorge cold shoulder floral top transform an otherwise simple piece into something a little sexier and edgier. The open shoulder adds a flirty look without showing too much. I read that the look was initially introduced in the 90's when Donna Karan debuted her iconic “cold shoulder” dress on former First Lady / Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

It's bathing suit season and I am officially obsessed with a the latest look out. I am always looking for one conservative cute suit that I can wear and one less conservative two piece. I like to have both because you just never know what sort of occasion you will be going to this summer. Can you wear booties in the spring? Um, yes! Booties, shooties, mid calf boots, knee high boots = whatever you want! I used to always wonder when do you stop wearing boots but turns out you can wear any boot year round as long as the weather is working for ya! Gone are the days when there were sayings or specific days that say when it is and isn’t cool to wear boots.
Booties are so fashionable and on trend to wear in Spring - rock em with shorts, skirts, dresses and more.

 I don't think skinny jeans will lose their spot on the throne anytime soon but it's clear that the wonderful world of denim is filled with tons of different looks. My new fav = The Girlfriend Jean. Topshop says the girlfriend jean is "cut high on the waist, offering a slightly slimmer fit." All I know is they are cropped, a little thick, comfy non stretch denim AND I love them. These beauties from
H & M in particular are ripped and I even ripped them a little more myself.

Now on to those gorge shoes -- Steve Madden made a fab shoe so HOT  - SO HOT! You can get it them at Amazon but keep up with them because the price sometimes goes down for dirt cheap! Something else that's been hot lately = the weather in Raleigh!
I am so thankful we are finally seeing the gorgeous sun out and about. Sunday was sunny and 53 degrees but this Monday morning is super gloomy... so hopefully the sun will be back soon.
