Pink October

It's Breast Cancer Awareness Month - so I broke out the pink to get in the spirit of the search for the cure. Cancer is such a terrible disease and I hope to join in on some events this month to raise money for the cause.

...A dear friend of mine from college is currently just 28 years old and fighting the disease. It breaks my heart to see her posts on facebook of wearing cold caps and trying to make it through rounds of chemo. I can not imagine going through it but her strength inspires me EVERYDAY. I pray that she beats cancer.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month  and Anne Klein's partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the brand is selling a limited-edition Pink Collection, which includes a scarf ($58), sunglasses ($113), bracelets ($35) and a striped shirt ($59). It was super comfy -- BUT the skirt however was a little big on me and runs big so make sure to size down if you get it. It's the Petite Twill Pencil Skirt HERE - but looks like its sold out now and only available in a a few pastel colors :(. I found a similar one HERE

I loved the stretchy waistband = a more comfy workday.

Speaking of the work day we have been doing our show LIVE outside all week which has been a fun change of pace but its not quite cold enough just yet to break out the full on winter look ... so I am back to dresses for the rest of the week. Seems like next week the temps might take a dip so I am REALLY looking forward to that.

I absolutely can't wait for winter. The worst fashion tease in the world is when stores fill their windows with winter clothing when it's still boiling hot outside. Cause you want to buy EVERYTHING in anticipation of -- "I'll wear it when it gets colder." My motto: Buy now. Figure it out later. 

These Ann Taylor leather leggings are so unbelievably amazing. AND SLIMMING - One of the best features is they make your legs look sleek and skinny. I am such a fan! 

This Ann Taylor Georgette top can be used in so many ways (available in petite/regular/tall)... it was a little chilly this AM in Raleigh so it felt good to be in a long sleeve. I feel like everything in the mall is going DARK DARK DARK & LEATHER for fall. Which is fine... but also make it tough to pull out that pop of color unless you already have it in the closet.

I paired it with a turquoise clover necklace (SIMILAR HERE) and some gold accents (MICHAEL KORS RUNWAY WATCH and this awesome Ann Taylor cuff.

...oh and yes of course these stop you in your tracks ANN TAYLOR LEOPARD HEELS - that I cant stop wearing. Should I stop? LOL. I cant - seriously cant. But I do have a fab pair of Steve Madden's that went on SALE  on the way in the mail!! (Yes -- you want to click on it - cause they're awesome and you'll need them next spring I promise.

Blue Sunshine

It really felt like fall today in Raleigh - cold weather, rain... it was genuinely gloomy but this blue dress pepped me up! Just in time for fall this long sleeve SIDE ZIP LONG SLEEVE BLUE DRESS (GET IT HERE) - The blue was sooooo pretty! I paired with the Ann Taylor Leopard Print Flats (HERE)  that I adore but you could really rock a ton of different shoes with it!! ADD a TO DIE FOR Ann Taylor Leather/Gold & Pearl NECKLACE - HERE + A bunch of cute Ann Taylor Bracelets and you turned a gloomy day into sunshine!
